Level Position: 34/423 (YiPpEe!!!!)
What more can I ask for? I'm relieved at last! I shouldn't have given myself too much stress.
So, during Parent-Teacher Conference, everything was a breeze. We were supposed to arrive between 1pm-1:30pm, but missing the bus did us injustice. Nevertheless, we still had to wait for a while (around 10 mins) before it's our turn, as He Jin's mother took a long time. I tried not to eavesdrop, but I still figured out a displeased tone. She seemed worried and was discussing with Ms Tan about academics, her son's character and such. The atmosphere was terribly tense, and He Jin was pulling an unusually serious face.
I received the camp photos from one of the Girl Guides seniors when I coincidentally met her at the main gate. Like the last time I saw those at a meeting, the yellowish, old sticky tapes were stuck on some photos unglamorously. Having nothing on hand to kill time, except for a word search bumper book, I decided to scratch out the tape with my already blunt, almost invisible fingernails. My bored mother also helped with this tedious chore. After some attempts, my mother figured out that with care and precision, one can smoothly tear out the whole strip. Careless hands are a hindrance.
All the while the threesome are discussing serious stuff, we were like clowns, going berserk over sticky tape. Having no proper place to leave the tape, I scrubbed it onto my file while my mother stuck them all over the chair in front of her.
After eternity, He Jin and his mother finally rose to leave, still very serious. It's a totally different story for the twosome of us. The moment we sat down, the three of us did not know how to start the conversation, and broke out into a small giggle. "你的号码几号?" Ms Tan asked me, still giggling. "五号" I replied, following suit. My mother got into the giggling fit too. It's crazy.
After Ms Tan explained what the different components of the progress report meant, she asked how I am to my mother. My mother abruptly mentioned about my sister and how different we were as toddlers.
When I was learning how to go to the "toliet", she would adjust the clock, wake up when it rung at 1 am, and woke me up from bed. She would get me seated onto the "toddler toliet bowl", let me finish my "business", then settling me back to bed. The next day, I woke up without my mother's help and done everything myself.
It was a totally different story for my sister. She would refuse to sit on the toliet bowl and did her "business" on the floor. My mother had to wipe it up with a cloth. It was the same for the next few attempts, leading my mother to leave a cloth beside the toliet bowl for "standby". My sister then learnt the wrong thing from my mother. She would deliberately do "it" on the floor and intimidate my mother by taking the cloth to wipe it clean. She only learnt the right thing the hard way, when my father scolded her harshly.
What a joke! Ms Tan almost laughed her head off upon hearing this!

O2Jam

Yay! Haven't been blogging for ages, hope I won't break down halfway again~! I've been creating and deleting blogs for ages, due to lack of peserevance. But I believe I won't demolish yet another of my hard work again.
A lot of interesting things happened the past few weeks, but due to time constrain, I decide not to post about those. After all, I don't like to provoke painful memories.
So...for the past three days, I've been slacking, sleeping, eating like a glutton...the ideal image of a pig =P. But I did do some notes on Maths too, okay? =)
What's most infuriating is the O2Jam problem. What's wrong with O2Jam MY??? Not only I can't access the O2Jam Malaysia server, I can't access the malaysia e-games website!! What's the matter!! It's Myanmar and China with disasters, not Malaysia!!
Okay, so I'm already so much fortunate than the victims, and should not be here complaining. But sometimes such problems can be very maddening! This should not last for like, 2 weeks? And when I try to download the Taiwan version, it took me ages to found the offical website, flooding my computer with corrupted or wrong downloads. Even the offical website's download take me ages to establish connection. After the download is complete, it is an exe file and...won't launch. ="(
O2Jam Philipines is even worse! The download is pretty successful, and the patch too, but when I try to connect to a server, they say that my country is not allowed to access O2Jam (Philipines). My blood is boiling...
Ok, so I thought I would just edit my profile. Turns out that they don't allow users to change their country. Reasonable. I changed the email address to my alternate email, created a new account with my active email, and left my country as Philipines. I then tried logging in again...without success. I suppose their servers can track players' IP address and countries.
This is it! I surrender! (No point getting angry over them.) Maybe I'm just not destined to play my favourite games. I'll just have to settle with Miniclip.
But as a consolation, I'd found this imitation of O2Jam on Newgrounds. It's quite good, except that the timings and graphics makes me very stressful and uncomfortable.
I'll post the links once I get home. The school internet has child safety programs. Too bad...
